Tycom offers many different services besides our main focus of granulation and size reduction. We also work to provide better solutions through full service programs, allowing our customers to work with us instead of multiple companies to take care of their recycling needs. We can handle several materials from paper to metal and can work with your company to get rid of hard to move scrap.
Commodity materials are purchased if a customer cannot reuse. Value is added through our processing techniques to enhance the final product. We then market those products to manufacturers that can use secondary materials. There is a significant cost savings using recycled products over virgin feed stocks.
KEEPING RECYCLABLES OUT OF LANDFILLS
Tycom Recycling also works closely with customers in landfill avoidance programs. This is a creative situation where hard to recycle scrap streams are introduced to manufacturers or consumers that can utilize less than perfect materials.
Today's corporate policies are rapidly moving towards zero landfill. To satisfy these requirements, materials that are highly contaminated and have little value may qualify for waste to energy programs. There have been many instances where Tycom Recycling has revisited waste streams when the market values or applications have changed and a solution is possible.
